A red wine with a strong personality, Vigne Haute means high vines. Our grapes are harvested on the highest part of the vineyard for this red wine. It’s a well-balanced blend of old Mourvedre 75% and Cabernet Sauvignon 25%. The maturing process lasts for a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels.
The robe is deep and intense. In the nose, animal notes (leather), harmonious balance between spices (cinnamon, clove, black pepper, saffron and musk) and also red fruits such as cherry, giving to this wine freshness and tasty fruity notes.
This wine is structured by frank and silky tannins.
- Uncork the bottle an hour and a half before tasting.
- Best served at 18°.
- Cuvée de la Vigne Haute is perfect paired with duck meat and orange, confit shoulder of lamb, wild boar stew, and game meat. Finish with ripened cheeses.
